
Our group is heading to Vietnam, and we wanted to find out more about the country we are heading to. We were divided into small groups, and were given a subject which we researched about Vietnam. We then shared our "cool facts" with the rest of the group. Our next task was to present them to our parents, and then on this blog.
I found that these were the coolest facts that were presented
- Vietnam is a communist country although it is not very strict.
- The country was free from the French rule in 1945.
- There are 54 different ethnic groups, all with their own languages.
- The early Vietnamese people were called 'Lac'.
- The people of Vietnam hold rice cooking contests.
- 86,967,524 people live in Vietnam.
- Post offices are open from 6am-8pm.
- Only 12% of Vietnamese people actually use home phones.
- there are 44 Airports and one heliport in Vietnam.
- The currency in Vietnam is the Dong.
- 14% of people live under the poverty line.
- In Hanoi, the average temperature in October is 21-25 degrees celcius.
